Both processors combine high clock speeds with sufficient core counts for efficient multitasking and background operations.
The primary AutoCAD functions that can effectively utilize multiple CPU cores are 2D Regeneration and Mental Ray rendering. Since 2D Regeneration places relatively low demand on modern processors, it generally should not influence CPU selection. However, users performing frequent or complex Mental Ray rendering workloads may benefit from higher core-count processors.
