Guarantee & Warranty
Warranty Policy and Related Information
Extreme PC warrants to the original purchaser that any part of the hardware system, excluding software, documentation, and similar items, will be free of defects in workmanship and materials for the warranty period selected by the customer in the configurator (1, 2, or 3 years) from the date of purchase.
During the selected parts and labor warranty period, Extreme PC will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace any defective part with the same or an equivalent part as listed on the customer's original receipt, free of charge for both labor and parts. The replaced or repaired part carries only the remaining balance of the original warranty period.
Warranty Coverage and Limitations
This warranty is extended only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
The warranty covers only hardware failures due to defects in materials or workmanship that occur during normal use.
This warranty does not cover:
-
Damage resulting from accident, impact, fire, flood, wind, lightning, electrical surges, power irregularities, spilled liquids, misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, or improper application.
-
Damage occurring during shipping or improper transport (EG: when customer is transporting the system from one location to another).
-
Software-related issues or data loss of any kind.
-
Problems caused by hardware installed after the original purchase that is not approved or compatible.
-
Normal wear and tear on consumable components (e.g., cables, thermal paste, fans, etc.).
Certain components (such as batteries or external power adapters) may carry shorter warranty periods as specified by their respective manufacturers.
System Modifications and Warranty Coverage
Extreme PC recognizes that many customers may wish to customize or upgrade their computer systems or workstations after purchase.
Customers are permitted to modify or upgrade their Extreme PC systems without voiding their warranty, provided that:
-
The modification or upgrade does not cause damage to existing components.
-
Any hardware added or replaced by the customer is properly installed and compatible with the system.
-
Warranty coverage applies only to the original components supplied by Extreme PC.
(Third-party parts or upgrades are covered under their respective manufacturer warranties.)
Extreme PC will continue to fully honor the warranty for all original components and labor, as long as any customer-performed modifications do not result in damage, misuse, or improper handling of the system.
Warranty Service Options
Depending on the plan selected, Extreme PC may provide one or more of the following service options:
-
Carry-In / Mail-In Service: The customer ships or brings the system to an authorized Extreme PC service location.
-
Advanced Exchange (where available): Replacement parts may be shipped in advance for faster turnaround.
All service methods require prior authorization through an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) issued by Extreme PC support.
Customers are responsible for secure packaging when shipping products for service. Extreme PC covers return shipping for all in-warranty repairs. We recommend that customers keep the original packaging box for the computer system.
Local Authorized Repair Option – Fast & Convenient
If time is of the essence and the customer prefers not to ship the system back to Extreme PC, we offer a local authorized repair option for maximum convenience.
In such cases, Extreme PC may authorize a qualified local computer store — one that we trust and know is capable of working with our advanced computer systems — to perform warranty service on our behalf. This option allows warranty repairs to be completed quickly and locally in the customer’s town, without the need for shipping delays.
Extreme PC will cover all parts and labor costs associated with the repair, exactly as if the work were done by our own technicians.
This convenient service ensures that customers experience minimal downtime while maintaining the same high level of quality and care that Extreme PC guarantees.
Third-Party Items and Manufacturer Warranties
Items such as monitors, notebook computers, and other peripherals are covered directly under their respective manufacturer warranties, and it is the customer’s responsibility to follow the manufacturer’s warranty instructions. However, if such an item fails within 30 days of purchase, Extreme PC will replace it directly.
Extended Warranty Plans
Customers may purchase extended warranty or service upgrade plans (including the local authorized repair option) at the time of system purchase or any time before the original warranty expires.
Pricing for these extended coverage options is displayed within the system configurator under the Warranty Section.
Availability and pricing may vary depending on system model and customer region.
Geographic Scope
Extreme PC products are sold and serviced exclusively within Canada.
All warranty services, including repairs, parts replacement, and local authorized service options, are available only to customers located in Canada.
Service availability and turnaround times may vary depending on the customer’s province or territory.
Limitation of Liability
Extreme PC shall under no circumstances be liable for any other damages, including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or similar claims, whether based upon breach of contract, breach of warranty, negligence, strict liability, or any other legal theory. Excluded damages include, but are not limited to:
loss of profit, revenue, or use of the hardware system; loss of use of related equipment; cost of substitute or replacement equipment; downtime; purchaser’s time; property damage; or any third-party claims.
