So you've been in love with aviation as long as you can remember and now you're thinking about getting your pilot's license but you're not sure where to start.  Well, you're in luck!  The computing power finally caught up with the long time dreams of the Extreme PC CEO himself to allow us to put into motion an EXTREMELY REALISTIC PC based flight simulator system. The force feedback controllers also matured enough to simulate with a very high precision the feel of an actual flight in a safety of your own home.  The Matrox TRIPLEHEAD2GO comes just at the right time as well providing affordable 3 LCD setup which provides unbelievable feel of flight using affordable 19" LCD displays.

Since our CEO is a flying addict himself, he decided to materialize this project by calling up his long time friend Phill Moffit - the CEO of National Flyers Academy - An accredited Canadian Department of National Defense flight training facility.  After one meeting at the NFA, they both decided to go ahead with the project.  The OFFICIAL NFA flight simulator Extreme PC system comes with actual airtime in the Katana DA-20 along with an instructor.  This one hour of flight instruction will give you an idea of what it's like to move from the simulation world to the real world.  After completing flight school courses in the FSX using our realistic flight training setup, we feel comfortable you will be able to handle the REAL Katana DA-20 with ease on your first try!  Why do we feel that way?  Keep on reading...

We have designed a Quad Core System specifically for this task.  It has everything you need to get you in the air much sooner then you think.  We decided to use Microsoft's Flight Simulator X as the best teaching tool for your money currently available.  At the moment it truly is the most affordable and accurate flight training tool.



There are 3 phases we successfully tested with a help of a 17 year old pilot who decided to test the effectiveness of our NFA Flight Simulator System.  All images below were done during the test phase of the project.

Phase 1:  Completion of the minimum 10 hour flight training using the Flight Simulator X training software we setup on your Extreme PC Flight Simulator System on your own time in the confort of your own home.

Phase 2:  Actual flight using the Katana DA-20 aircraft along with NFS flight instructor.  This will be done at the CYKF airport at NFA headquarters:


Kitchener - Waterloo airport has long & wide runways, making it a perfect place to start your  flight training.  The guys in the control tower are nice to all NFA pilots knowing they are learning the art of flying.  You're welcome to visit them in the tower and introduce yourself in person - believe us, it helps when you want a quick clearance for the take off.


You will have time to get to know the controls of the DA-20 before the flight.  Take as much time as you need. Since we'll provide you with an exact replica of the Diamond Katana DA-20 in the FSX all the control panels will feel very familiar as soon as you step into the cockpit.


To keep with very high standards at the NFA, you will doing all the flying since the begging, which includes the taxing of the aircraft to the active runway, take off, entire flight itself, and even the approach to a landing!  The flight instructor will only be there to help you with the radio work (taxi clearance, take off clearance etc).


It's up to you how you want to spend your first hour of flying.  We recommend just relaxing and doing some high and low level flying to see how amazing it is to be in the clouds.

You will never forget your first flight experience which is why we want to make sure you are more then ready for it by fully completing the stage 1 using the FSX.  Ten hours is recommended but the more time you spend on it, the more time you will have to enjoy your first hour of the real flight.  The DA-20 cockpit works just like the one in the F-18 jet fighter - all glass panoramic view gives you an amazing few of the skies.  You will be absolutely amazed how easy it is to control the aircraft using the DA-20's jet fighter like stick control system.


The terrain in south western Ontario is very easy on the pilots.  Plenty of roads and fields to practice approaches etc.


When it's time to head back from the flight of a life time, this is what you will see on your approach to runway 32.


Following your FSX flight training, setup the aircraft for a landing, reduce the power and align yourself with the runway 32.


You will have control over the aircraft even at final moments of the landing.  Only your FSX flight training will make this seem easy.  DA-20 is one of the easiest and stable aircraft in the industry.  It practically flies itself.


The actual touch down will be done by the flight instructor.  You get to do this yourself after 3 hours of flying time!  This experience will tell you 100% if flying is something you wish to pursue as a carrier or recreational use.  It will be something you will remember for the rest of your life!


NFA has a team of VERY dedicated female flight instructors that make things even more relaxing! =)

Aviation is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding careers.
Getting there can be expensive however.  Having constant access to a VERY realistic flight simulator at your home can save you thousands of dollars on "flight reviews" by reviewing your flight lesson on the flight simulator over the EXACT terrain and land marks you used during the actual flight.  It's no secret that flight simulators prepare even ATP pilots with thousands of hours of flying time for check rides on the 747 based aircraft as its a more economical way to keep the flight crew up to date.  Simply put, it's a well worth investment into your future.

Phase 3: If you chose to continue with your flight training after successful completion of the Private Pilot rating at NFA, we'll move you onto the commercial level of the flight training.  Your first flight hour on the Diamond DA-42 high performance twin is on us!  We'll even make sure you get a tour of the London based Diamond Aircraft Assembly facility!

The Extreme PC Configurator technology was designed from the ground up to be extremely user friendly and intuitive.

The Configurator allows a person with limited computer knowledge to make the necessary adjustments to any of our pre-defined system configurations and have it match their hardware as well as budget requirements.



The Customer can modify all aspects of their new computer and immediately have the system quote available in real time, right next to their custom system configuration. In addition to the quote, the customer can click the green double arrow button located next to the quoted system price and receive a visual presentation of all the system components selected for the build.

Each system component has a “View” button beside it. When clicked, a full product description and actual cost of component is shown. Should a customer wish to purchase any item separately, they can go back to the main store section of the website and buy the item for that exact price. Each item on the Extreme PC website has detailed information accompanied with actual image(s) of the product . We don’t show “for display purposes only” images like the competition. We show an ACTUAL image of the hardware that will arrive at your doorstep. This keeps product return rate to a minimum and ensures customer satisfaction.




Extreme PC is the only system builder to show its customer a “Price Trend Graph”. Essentially it’s a price graph that shows how each item we carry is holding value over the course of last 7 months. Our server monitors over 30 different suppliers and provides this information in a friendly easy to read graph which is located under the main product image of every item we carry. This information allows our customers to make more informed purchases. Additionally, it allows you to see when the last price drop occurred and it shows how much money was saved without any guess work. The competition will never show this information as most of them like to artificually “spike” the prices for greater profits.

12 Hour Burn In Process

Quality Control is paramount to us as we understand that a faulty computing experience can be very frustrating. Extreme PC is dedicated to providing you with a 100% bug free system upon pick-up or delivery. In order to have this guarantee we put every system through a 12 hour “test burn” process. During the “test burn,” your system is put through a rigorous workload. This heavy load simulation is done to insure that your everyday computer use is as flawless as possible. Should a software or hardware failure occur during testing, the faulty component(s) will be replaced and the “test burn” will be restarted.

Real Copy Of Microsoft Windows

As an Extreme PC customer you have a choice of buying your Windows Operating System software from us. However if you already own a copy of Windows or some other operating system of your choice, you can remove that option in the Configurator and save yourself some money. Unlike the other guys, we provide you with the option to choose whether or not you’d like an Operating System at time of purchase and we don’t make you buy it if you don’t want it.

However, if you choose to purchase the Operating System, you will receive a physical copy of Windows with every system which includes your own CD-Key and user license.
